About

Noah Evan Wilson is a writer, musician, and educator in New York City. 

His short stories have been published in Orca, Chautauqua, Beyond Words, Third Street Review, and the anthology, Ten Ways the Animals Will Save Us, from Retreat West Books (2022). He received third place in the 2022 Dreamers Creative Writing Flash Fiction Contest, and second place in the 2021 Prime Number Magazine Flash Fiction Prize. He has also contributed essays and interviews to the Soundshop Blog. He currently sits on the editorial board for Beyond Words, and holds an MFA in creative writing from Rutgers University-Newark, where he teaches courses in creative writing and literature. 

Noah's music credits include the single, Lost in Seoul (2017), a collection of alternative rock songs and spoken word titled, Rewild (2018), and a live acoustic EP performed at the iconic New York City venue, The Bitter End (2018). His first full length album, Desert Cities, was released the following year in two parts alongside a limited edition of live recordings cut straight to vinyl in partnership with Leesta Vall Sound Recordings. In 2021, he released The View From The Ground - EP, expanding on the themes and unique contemporary folk sound of Desert Cities. And beginning in 2023, he began releasing a series of instrumental piano covers. 2024, marks the release of his first new single, Hold Out Thirst 2. On each of his studio recordings Noah arranges and performs every instrument including, guitars, piano, banjo, lap-steel, bass, percussion, and harmonica. He has also composed theatrical scores for productions at the Denver Center Theater Company, and offers private music lessons and classes in music theory, composition, and songwriting.
